General Gymnasts training for one hour, one and a half hours or two hours per week can learn many skills which will stay with them for the rest of their lives. No prior experience is needed for our general classes however experience is also welcomed into these sessions. During training sessions, gymnasts practice moves on all pieces of apparatus and will increase their strength and flexibility. General gymnasts have the opportunity to progress into our advanced classes and/or competition groups.

Our programme at Southend Gymnastics is headed by an ex-gymnast, World Champion and World Cup winner, who leads a team of dedicated and qualified coaches. The team is devoted to teach all children gymnastics in a fun, safe and inclusive environment.

Each piece of Olympic standard equipment at our centre is explored during sessions, and all gymnasts get the opportunity to learn simple rolls through to complex somersaults!
